Website Maintenence

Ingleside has a website that is hosted by a generous donor, but does not have the staff or technical expertise to maintain the content of the site.

Gift Shop

Ingleside Homes Ladies Auxiliary operates a small gift shop which serves to provide our residents sundries and special gifts at nominal costs. Our Comptroller trains student interns to assist with the audit, filing, report preparation, data entry, billing and invoice tracking.

Maintenance

Ingleside boasts beautiful award winning gardens that need to be maintained. Volunteers to weed, mulch, plant, rake, and pick up debris are all welcome. We have painting, plastering, and other types of tasks available also.

Database

Ingleside maintains a funding database similar to Microsoft Outlook. Many of our records need to be updated, requiring volunteers to call to verify names, addresses and phone numbers. Volunteers can work from home or at our office, saving staff members valuable time.

Down’s Cultural Center and Special Events

The Down’s Center is a 200 seat auditorium which was name after Dr. and Mrs. Robert N. Downs, III who lead the campaign to build the center. Its mission is to provide free entertainment, plays, musicals, concerts, political debates, lectures on humanitarian issues, etc. All seniors in Delaware are invited free off charge to all programs. The programs are impressive! Students with musical talent are strongly encouraged to earn hours by playing for our residents.

Volunteers assist seniors in getting to their table, and waiting on the tables. The students are given the opportunity to learn what it takes to serve 214 frail, elderly individuals.
